Michele Rinaldi, a former technician at Tous Diamonds in Switzerland, recognized the potential of diamond-cutting machines and established FOV after gaining experience with FBMO and Ompar.<\/p>\n<p>In 1979, the historic warehouse on Via del Progresso was inaugurated, expanding the workforce from 12 to 30 employees. The product range included machinery such as diamond cutters, presses, furnaces, rolling mills, and tools, offering a catalog of 20,000 items.<\/p>\n<p>Growth was swift: the customer base grew from 5 to 200 daily clients, and the company exported 20 diamond cutters per month. Branches were opened in Bassano del Grappa, Milan, and Arezzo, with expansions into North Africa, Northern and Eastern Europe, and South America.<\/p>\n<p>The 1990s brought challenges with a sector-wide crisis, leading to the merger with Legor Group S.P.A. in 2007.
